I was just browsing through the internet looking for interesting news when I found an article on Minivan News website. The article spoke about the Worldcue alert issued by Maldivian Red Crecent Association on Dengue and Chikungunya.
I thought to myself; finally! But then, reading through the article I noted a statement that Minivan report as quoting Mr Afaal of ADK hospital “He also recommends taking steps to reduce effects of the fever, including mild painkillers”.
Thankfully, with some common sense prevailing, the author Olivia Lang, writes “But the World Health Organisation (WHO) advises sufferers not to take aspirin or ibuprofen, as these can exacerbate the problem”. Thank god for that.
I wonder if Mr Afaal knows about this.
